读英语的读后感篇1

i have a lot of questions. such as the little prince lived in a asteroids in the solar system outside earth, self live small can only accommodate three volcanoes and a flower, he how to eat, how to master the language, how to move back and forth between the different planets, how he was born? and the planets that he's traveled around, why are they always alone, where they come from, how they're dressed, how they breathe, and whether they die?

of course these questions are not worth discussing in their own right, and the benefits and values of the whole book lie in its allegory and its ridicule of the people who are mired in the mundane and the busy.

first of all, the little prince was on the planet where there lived a king, which was in fact a symbol of political power, and the man who counted the stars all day was a narrow, selfish, greedy businessman. a geographer might be a person of mine who knows all the time and thinks of something that's out of touch with reality, and then becomes obsessed with a certain intellectual or linguistic vanity. the lightman is a humble and industrious worker of society.

himself is a very interesting character the little prince, he was a child, has not been in the real world of ugly things defile the pure beauty of mind and desire to want to know the outside world with curiosity, but it was also his these features make him worried, because of his truth persistence spirit of exploration and the absurd world cannot eliminate contradictions exist, this world does not exist the answer he wanted, and this is the reason why he died. his death was a rejection of this dirty, ugly world.

this is a condensed and condensed version of my overall reading experience, which may be simplistic, but i think i will add, and if you don't like my language style, i apologize.

in fact, one of my favorite passages is the dialogue between the little prince and the other. i always think of you from that flower.

读英语的读后感篇2

my feelings after reading wuthering heights

wuthering heights is a well-written tragedy of love. after reading the whole story, i would like to talk about the main characters of the story—catherine earnshaw and heathcliff. catherine earnshaw and heathcliff love each other very much, but they do not have the right attitude towards love, which leads to the tragedy.

in catherine’s life, she made a very foolish decision---marrying to edgar. in fact, her love for edgar can never be compared to that for heathcliff. she did so, because she thought the wealth of edgar would be useful to heathcliff. but in reality, it did not work. she did not have a good understanding of love, which is something pure and saint. if anyone add any purpose into love, love itself lost its meaning. catherine’s wrong decision hurt two people who love her, and even destroyed the happiness of their offspring.

heathcliff is a man full of retaliation. he loved catherine very much, but what he did, on the contrary, added to the misery of catherine. in my opinion, if he really loved catherine, he should not walk into catherine’s life again after his disappearance. further more, after the death of catherine, what heathcliff did brought agony to catherine’s daughter, as well as his own son.

after reading, i have a better understanding of love. if you love really someone, his or her happiness is the thing that most matters.

读英语的读后感篇3

the ugly duckling.

one evening, the sun was just setting in with true splendor when a flock of beautiful large birds appeared out of the bushes. the duckling had never seen anything so beautiful. they were dazzlingly white with long waving necks. they were swans and uttering a peculiar cry. they spread out their magnificent broad wings and flew away from the cold regions toward warmer lands and open seas.

they mounted so high,so very high, and the ugly little duckling became strangely uneasy. he circled around and around in the water like a wheel, craning his neck out into the air after them. then he uttered the shriek so piercing and so strange that he was quite frightened by himself. oh,he could not forget those beautiful birds, those happy birds and as soon as they were out of sight. he ducked right down to the bottom and when he came up again,he was quite beside himself. he did not know what the birds were or where’d they flew. but all the same,he was more drawn towards them than he had ever been by any creatures before. he did not envy them in the least. how could it occur to him even to wish to be such a marvelous beauty? he wouldn’t be thankful if only the ducks would have tolerated him among them, the poor ugly creature.

early in the morning,a peasant came along and saw him,he went out onto the ice and hammered a hole in it with his heavy wooden shoe, and carried the duckling home to his wife. there,it soon revived. the children wanted to play with it. but the duckling thought they were going to ill use him and rushed in and he frightened to the milk-pan,and the milk spurted out all over the room. the woman shrieked and threw up her hands. then it flew to the butter-cask and down into the meal-tub and out again. oh,just imagine what it looked like by this time. the woman screamed and tried to hit it with the tongs, and the children tumbled over one another in trying to catch it,and they screamed with laughter.

by good luck, the door stood open and the duckling flew out among the bushes and the new fallen snow. and it lay there, thoroughly exhausted, but it would be too sad to mention all the privation and misery had to go through during that hard winter. when the sun began to shine warmly again, the duckling was in a marsh, lying among the rushes. the larks were singing, and the beautiful spring had come. then all at once,it raised its wings and they flapped with much greater strength than before and bore him off vigorously. before he knew where he was,he found himself in a large garden with the apple trees were in full blossom. and the air was scentedly with lilacs, the long branches of which overhung the indented shores of the lake. oh,the spring freshness was so delicious. just in front of him,he saw three beautiful white swans advancing towards him from a thicket. with rustling feathers, they swam lightly over the water. the duckling recognized the majestic birds, and he was overcome by a strange melancholy.

“i will fly to them, the royal birds, and they will hack me to pieces because i who am so ugly venture to approach them. but it won’t matter. better to be killed by them than be snacked up by the ducks, pecked by the hens,or spurned by the hen wife,or suffer so much misery in the winter.” so he flew into the water and swam towards the stately swans. they saw him and darted toward him with ruffled feathers. “kill me,oh,kill me.” said the poor creature. and bowing his head towards the water,he awaited his death. but what did he see? reflected in the transparent water,he saw below him his own image, but he was no longer a clumsy dark gray bird, ugly and ungainly. he was himself,a swan.

读英语的读后感篇4

the scarlet letter offers an extraordinary insight into the norms and behavior of the 17th century if american puritan society.the basic conflicts and problems of its main characters, however, are familiar to readers in the present.the female protagonist, has borne a child out of wedlock and has been jailed for over three months and sentenced to wear a symbol of her adultery,a scarlet"a"on her dress at all times.it concerns about the moral, emotional and psychological effect of the sin on people in general.it's not simply a love story or a story of sin.the scarlet letter by nathaniel hawthorne uses the scarlet letters to symbolize the harshness of puritan society, showing how they brand sinners for life.

the story happened in boston about 200 years ago.it narrates love affairs between three persons.the punished woman.hester prynne and his husband.who called himself roger chillingworth.he is an old misshapen man and a doctor.hester does not love him at all.another man is a young minister, dimmesdale, who has a high position among ministers and is highly respected among his people in town.hester and dimmesdale love each other.but their love is forbidden in that time.it is sinful.due to this, hester is punished by society with a letter a on her chest, which considered an evil,a shame.

读英语的读后感篇5

everybody has read a famous masterpiece - "treasure island", treasure island english reading. the book revolves around an adventure story, in which a young man was born in a poor home to make a living in a hotel. the boy is the hero of the book, jim. hawkins. he stumbled upon a map of a desert island where old pirates hid gold and silver. so, he and other friends to discuss, with a group of seaman embarked on a trip to find. but soon, they were a group of seaman mutiny, the two sides keen on the battlefield, they launched a thrilling fight with the enemy. finally, because all the efforts of the crew, charged to victory, jim soon, they carried the wealth jubilantly with the home.

although i did not go there in person adventure, but in my mind, always emerge a picture, jim his honest face always appeared in his side, he is so noble, kind, brave, he is always able to subdue the pirates, victory, he is so brave! when i heard him this sentence shaking shock, such as this one: we see the land that night, i was in the apple barrel, i heard you, john, and dick johnson. - you, it is a chinese, he is now at the bottom of the sea, i am still a little while, every word you said the report, the "treasure island" in english reading. as for the schooner? it made me cut off the ropes of the ship. it was i who killed you on the ship...... when i saw these, i was very shocked, a juvenile can have so much courage to say these, which i admire.

of course, i admire people who have a resentment of the people, such as silver as the representative of the people, in their body are hypocritical, presumptuous, evil, they kill the lives of others for themselves, they do not feel guilty for what you have done, but more and more rampant. think of the money the brain is empty, finally only kill the idea, to a mans throat cut, run amuck. let my mind they all come out with a pair of ferocious terror ningxiao eyes with a seaman knife killed many people crazy, only for their own benefit and loss of humanity.

although the novel is genuine, his work embodies a sharp confrontation between good and evil. i think the story warns us not to do anything selfish, because it is the wrong way in your life, and jim is a kind of spiritual wealth represented by justice.
